Well Suited CIC is a non-profit organisation in Carlisle, set up with the aim of providing free interview appropriate clothing for anyone in our community who for various reasons may be unable to supply their own.

 

We understand that lack of a suitable outfit can be a barrier to employment for some people, so giving the right first impression to a prospective employer, whilst making the candidate feel more confident is our aim. The only criteria is that applicants must be aged 16 or over, currently unemployed and with confirmation of a guaranteed job interview. 

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Referrals come via our collaborations with local branches of organisations who specialize in providing free careers training, advice and guidance. By using an appointment system we can ensure clients have a one to one consultation and leave with an outfit they are confident to present their best self in.

Going forward, following a successful interview and job offer we would also be able to provide a capsule work wardrobe to continue to support our clients during the first few weeks in their new role. This is dependent on stock donations, storage space and volunteers.
